HubbleIQ co-founder Keyvan Berenjian joined VP of AWS’ Global Head of Startups Howard Wright and CyDeploy CEO Tina Williams-Koroma at re:Invent this December to talk about the AWS Impact Accelerator program's affect on their business journey.
“As Black founders, I think there’s a little more to overcome to get to the point where it’s like ‘now we can lean on the business, we can lean on the value we’re adding to the market’”, Berenjian describes. He continues, “by being a part of the Impact Accelerator, I think what that stamp did for us is it unlocked a lot of the workflows and work streams that allowed us to be trusted by our new customers, because you can say, ‘oh you’re a part of the Amazon program, we trust it”.
The Impact Accelerator for Black founders program is an 8-week program by Amazon Web Services that provides mentoring, training, and unmatched networking opportunities to Black startup founders. AWS shares how “our first cohort of Black founders are now better equipped to succeed in a startup space that has historically shut them out”.
